A German 42cm

Description

Two Allied soldiers during World War I stand next to a German 42cm artillery piece used for siege warfare by the German Empire. The barrel of this is 42 cm in diameter and is possibly known as the Gamma-Gerät or Gamma Mörser. The two soldiers are wearing there uniforms with their caps on their heads, jackets buttoned, baggy pants, boots, and puttees, which were leg wrappings. The 42 cm artillery piece appears to be standing next to a train. The windows are open and people are looking out at the artillery. It also appears to be on a train bed or a platform where it can be moved. One of the soldiers may be Peter Hoffman.
