Description
A soldier during World War I, is seen crouching and looking at the photographer. He has on a long coat that is opened, and a military cap and uniform on underneath the coat. He has a mustache and is touching a large artillery shell that is standing up between his legs. There are other various sized artillery shells laying on the ground in front of him. There is also a weaving that is in the shape of an artillery shell laying on the ground amongst the large shells. There is a tripod of trees branches standing up against one another and over some of the shells. The ground is visible with weed-like grass. There are also planks of wood on the ground behind the "G-I" that are formed into a square piece, most likely to either walk on or to place something on.
