In this image, the Julien Dubuque Monument may be seen on top of a bluff. A door and two windows in the monument are clearly visible. A steel railroad bridge is in the foreground. The waters of Catfish Creek are visible below the bridge. Two men are walking across the bridge toward the photographer. A small white building and the west bank of the Mississippi River are faintly visible in the background. The number 1282 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
