Description
A group of American soldier who are captured are walking on a dirt road back to Germany. The Americans are wearing their uniforms and some are wearing their helmets. They are being led by a German soldier, riding a horse. The German soldier is wearing a long trench coat, helmet, with his weapon behind his back. He is also carrying a long staff or pole in his right hand that extends far behind him, over the horse, and to the right. There is a sign next to the German soldier along the road. Next to the sign is a small wall where German officers are sitting and watching the Americans walk. There is a hill to the right and background of the photograph with buildings in the back behind the Americans.
