Title

Camouflaged Road Near "Puvenelle Woods" - St. Mihiel Front

Creator

Hoffman, Peter B.

Description

A dirt road is camouflaged near Puvenelle in France, during the St. Mihiel Front during World War I. The bottom left corner of the photograph shows a bit of the dirt road. There is a grassy field in the center that is covered in rows of wooden stakes connected together with barbed wire fencing. On the left and center of the photograph appears to be a sort of make-shift wall made of long weeds or tree branches and held together with 3-4 lines of horizontal wood that are spaced evenly out to distribute the weight.
