Description
Eight men are seated and standing in front of a white tent in a thinly filled forest, with the river in the background. There is a message on the back from "PBA" to "Emily." The address is "Mrs. A.D. Hoffman , c/of John Schumacher, 3921 West Polk St., Chicago, Ill." The men are identified as Albert D. Hoffman, Peter B., Edward Cequaltey? and Emil Youngbluth - supposedly Youngblood. The card reads: "Dubuque Iowa April 7th 1910. Dear Emily - Resting at camp - The four strangers are Residents of East Dubuque, acquaintances of Emil Youngbluth they have two tents, one only is seen in the picture. The Mississippee is close by to the right and the Slough can be seen in the distance to the left. You are a pretty good guesser, huh, how did he take the pictures? Love from all PBH. No. 5. next." [sic]
