Description
Funded by Andrew Carnegie and built on land donated by Frank Stout, the Carnegie Stout Public Library is located at the corner of 11th and Buff Streets. The front entrance faces 11th Street. The words “Carnegie Stout Free Library” have been engraved over the front doors which are reached by steep steps, and flanked by Greek columns. Planters have been placed along the front steps and flower boxes are visible in the windows along Bluff Street. A man is standing in front of the building. The number 1278 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
