[The new Madison Street steps in Dubuque, Iowa]

Concrete steps with metal handrails may be seen leading from 17th and Madison Streets to the top of a bluff. Four ornate concrete landings each with street lights, have been placed at intervals along the stairway. The steps were completed in 1918. See LO 048 for an image of the wooden steps which preceded the concrete ones shown in this image. The number 1375 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
