Description

A light-colored soda fountain counter is partially visible on the left side of this interior photograph of an unidentified drugstore. Four metal stools have been placed in front of the counter. Various items of glassware are visible on the counter and also on the wooden buffet behind the soda fountain. Two men are standing at the end of the counter. A third man is posing beside a display further back in the room. Tall wood and glass cases and glass display counters, filled with various size bottles and boxes, line the walls of the narrow room. A cash register may be seen on another counter across the room from the soda fountain. Additional displays have been placed in the center aisle. Advertising posters featuring images of young women have been hung from the ceiling above the display cases. The number “255” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “3” has been written in the upper left corner.
