[Two men in the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company office in the Bank & Insurance Building]

Two men work in an office at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in rooms 705-708 of the B & I Building. A large fern is set on top of a wooden stand in the foreground at left. A safe is placed against the wall behind the fern. A large framed picture of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower in New York City hangs from picture rail at left and small model of the building is on the desk at right. Hanging from the transom at the back of the office is a framed picture that includes the portrait of a man in profile and the words: “From Our President, Mr. John R. Hegeman, Greeting.” There is a June, 1912 Union Pacific Railroad calendar on the back wall. It advertises a “New and Direct Route to Yellowstone National Park.” The number “118” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. “2 large 3” has been written in the upper left corner.
