Description

The tailor is seated at his desk, holding a piece of paper. Several drawings of women’s fashions are on top of another small desk, in front of the tailor. Additional drawings may be seen on the shelves of the desk. On the wall behind the tailor are two day calendars for Thursday 13 June, and also an advertisement with a drawing of a woman’s head and the caption “Wooley & Co, Unrivalled [sic] Collection of Fine Woolen Samples Now on Display.” A large, three-piece mirror is attached to the left wall. The reflection of another mirror may be seen behind a partition. The number “71” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “2” is written in the upper left corner.
